To Whom it may concern:

I want to thank President Obama for the 2012 increase to Social Security. I have been disabled since 2005 due to a condition which affects all of the collegen in my body. It is called Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I have frequant joint dislocations and severe nerve damage throughout my body since collegen is in everything including bones, teeth, skin, muscles and so on.

I have worked as many as three jobs at a time to raise my daughter and my husband of 8 years who also raised his son alone did the same. When my condition worsed he picked up the pace to take care of all of us and his depression worsened. He suffered a few heart attacks and just recently at 45 had a double bipass. Obviously he is unable to work now as well. Prior to losing our home a few years ago we had a fire in the garage and he lost all of his tools which is devistating for a machanic. This too added to his depression.

I was excited to hear that we would be getting an increase because we are both living off of my Soc. Sec. Disability payments. I want you to know that the State of Michigan has taken them away from me because my income is a bit higher so they are no longer helping me pay for my Medicare premiums. In all I am now getting close to $75 less each month. 

My rent is $600 per month, both of our phones are about $80 per month, My car and rental insurance is $$90 per month, and I am falling behind on rent, utilities, medical bills and everything in between. We worked hard the first part of our lives thinking that we would be taken care of if we got sick and now we are slapped in the face by our governent that should be helping us. We don't need extras. we live without cable, internet, and going out for date nights. Heck we can't even afford to rent a movie for the night.

Like others our teeth are in bad shape, i have doctors that will no longer see me because i owe them money and i cant afford to havet the surgery on my feet that I desperately need. Who is going to help us?

I want to introduce myself. I am a single disabled, not to mention a state licensed cosmetologist fighting to get my SSI through. I have 3 minor children that I have sole and physical care of. I am in desperation as I've waited since May 2008 for my SSI being denied twice. I am only getting child support scattered throughout each month. My last two children were born very ppremature, now my son age 13 whom was premature has asthma, cerebral palsy, needs to see specialists and my car is broke far away from me. My son age 22 left Lake Superior State Univ., rode a bus to get to me which is 4 hours away since I live in Cadillac, MI 49601. This is a sad story and I need someone to hear me. We won't see Christmas this year. My daughter Madison, age 10 is a straight a student and is much deserving of her American girl look alike doll. My daughter Mariah, age 14 wants to start back to High School since the home school satellite program didn't work for her. The kids laughedx at Mariah because she didnt have new school clothes. I wish for a decent running car. My children all need to see the dentist. I have no friends or family to rely on. My Mother died Dec 4. 2008. I almost died on the same day, we were in two different hospitals. We live at 200 Matthew Dr, Cadillac MI 49601. I've been on the MSHDA waiting list for over. 2 years now. My rent is 710.00 a mo and the elec bill is due to shut off. My gas bill 2 mo behind and not to mention my phone bill. We just lost our cable through Charter cable co. My mottled boys bedroom is bare, no toys nothing. I guess that's what domestic violence does. I can't even go to prophecy Christmas for my kids held in Wexford County. I'm scared, I don't want to go to a homeless shelter again and loose what little bit of things we have collected since last June when we started over AGAIN. We are a decent proud family, not understanding why this had to happen to a middle class family, gone to poverty. My 22 yr old son walks 2 miles one way just to get milk and toilet paper, etc. its cold out. Please sit or madam hear our family. I am a stylist and now I feel so degraded. (619)433-2372

To Whom It may concern:

Several days ago yahoo posted news about congress wanting a raise.  Most congressman make $124,000.00 dollars a year.  They want a raise to pay for they're added expenses. 

What if any congressman had to live on $859.00 a month, and $65.00 a month in food stamps?  Americans are loosing jobs, homes, savings, etc, etc.  More and more people are worried about another depression happening. 

All americans need to stand together in the trying times and help they're follow man.  Without each other, what else do we have?  Reach out and touch someone. Give them a helping hand up, not just a hand out.

Also, let congress know you will not approve that raise.  They must earn it first.  They must try helping our president instead of standing in his way.

michigan resident  taxpayer here over 30 years!  In the city of Kalamazoo Michigan  the city has   accepted federal money? or money for low income ? and affordable houseing and now selling at least one of thoose affordable houses for 800,000  dollars?  while all of amercia and kalamazoo itself struggles with foreclosed family homes and largest unemployment largest in the nation.  wtf ????   details later! ...the company was called Land Bank at one time!  But really THE CITY OF KALAMAZOO GOVERMENT SHOULD BE ASHAMEd of itself!     I OWN ONE LITTLE BITTY  raggedy house one THE CITYS LOW INCOME COMMERICIAL ZONE CITY WANNA MY shit now SO  wtf! in fore closure! and then you mfs in the CITY goverment fing me up like that! Im TIRED bitches  and my hair pink!  lol !        Anyway   now the city got yellow foreclosure signs all over town in people yards ALL BIG SO ANYBODY WHO  CAN THINK KNOW YOU IN TROUBLE and that you live there,...... ! I need money to move back to NY where my children are. I am on disability and paying most of the bills. I want to move there alone and get a house for myself or an apartment that will allow small dogs. She is really clean and nice. I need a car also, it doesn't need to be new just in good running order for once I get there I will have to use it to go to the doc's a lot like I do here. I really need to get there soon for my disabilities are getting worse by the month and soon there will be a time when I will not be able to drive at all. Please, please, please help me. I haven't seen them in almost 8 years and my heart is breaking that I cannot see them at all now. I want to be with them. I don't need much, just a truck to get all of my furniture there and possibly some one to drive there with me and help me unload and get my house set up. Then I need money to get the heat and lights turned on and try to get internet so I can sell my knitted and crocheted and sewn stuff on the web to make a little extra to pay for the internet. I will also need a p hone to call the dr's with. Help me please.   Ladytigger

Greed is what america has become, greed got this country into the shape its in and only letting go fo the greed will get us out.  Its sad to live in a country where a dollar is more valuable then a life, they repossessed my moms grave stone because I couldn't pay for it fast enough.. I need help getting home to my children. I am living here in MI and I want to go home to NY. I am disabled and need to be near my kids and grandchildren. I haven't seen them in almost 8 years and it is tearing my heart out. They won't even call me any more because I am not there for them and I am going to need their help when I have my spinal surgery. Please, please, please I beg you. I need about $10,000 to get a better car mine is ready to fall apart and money to move and money to find a place to live when I get back there. I will need an extra $1000 to pay someone to drive me there. I have to have a big Uhaul truck and I don't think I can handle it for 19 hours to get there. I have fibromyalgia, severe scoliosis 70% curve , osteoarthritis so they will eventually be putting a new knee in and restless leg syndrome through my entire body. Please help be I beg y ou. hello i 'm a disable person and need help paying my rent and bills. i get a check once a month but its not enough. my husband kick me and my two daughters out of the house. the only thing my family would like for x-mas is to keep a roof over our heads and the bills paid. so if there anyone reading this please help me and my two daughters. thats all we want for x-mas. you dont have to give me money in hands just pay our bills. thank so much
